Głowatka is a fishing tackle shop at Starowiślna 40 in Kraków, Poland (entrance from Berka Joselewicza street), and the online store glowatka.com. We specialise in fly fishing and spinning: rods, reels, fly lines and leaders, a wide range of fly tying materials, lures, waders and fishing clothing.
Our story
The shop was founded in 1994 by Zdzisław “Duszko” Adamczyk, a legend among Polish anglers, who shared his knowledge of fly fishing and spinning with generations of customers. Today our young team carries on this tradition: we give advice, help you choose the right gear and are always happy to talk about fishing.
The name comes from “głowatka”, a popular Polish name for the Danube salmon (Hucho hucho). The Kraków Głowatka Club, co-founded by Zdzisław Adamczyk, organises fly fishing and spinning competitions, stocks the Dunajec, San and Poprad rivers and works to restore the Danube salmon population.
